Markus Meijer is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer and chairs the Funds' Investment Committees. Markus has extensive corporate finance and real estate investment and development experience. He has originated, executed and exited single asset, portfolio, and non-performing loan transactions across the United States, the UK and Continental Europe. Before founding Meyer Bergman in 2004, Markus was the CFO at Meyer Bergman's predecessor, MAB Group, where he was responsible for the strategic restructuring of the business, culminating in the portfolio sale of the European development business to a global financial institution.
Markus began his career in 1995 at Hines in Chicago and London, before joining Goldman Sachs' Principal Investment Area team in 1997.
Markus graduated from Leyden University with a Master's degree in law, and received his MBA in 2002 from INSEAD. Additionally, Markus speaks six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch).
Mark Gamble is the Head of Asset Management and an Investment Committee member. Mark brings extensive experience across Europe, having lived and worked in the United Kingdom and CEE. Since joining in 2008, Mark oversees the strategic asset management as well as the subsequent dispositions of the fund portfolios. His involvement with assets begins prior to their acquisition, providing support for the acquisitions team and ensuring that the business plans are realistic and deliverable. He also ensures that assets are transitioned and integrated operationally with strong in-house managers who can implement the asset plan.
Prior to joining Meyer Bergman, Mark worked for Heitman for six years as Senior Vice President and Head of European Retail Asset Management based in Warsaw, where he was responsible for the acquisition, asset management and disposition of retail assets located throughout Central and Eastern Europe, valued over €800 million. Prior to this, Mark was director of retail consultancy at DTZ in Poland.
Mark has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Real Estate Management and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Blake Loveless is a Principal and an Investment Committee member. Blake joined Meyer Bergman in 2006 and is responsible for acquisitions in Europe. Blake has been involved in sourcing, executing, and overseeing €2 billion of acquisitions across Europe and United Kingdom. Prior to joining Meyer Bergman, Blake worked in private banking and established and managed a prominent family office.
Blake graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in economics from the School of Foreign Service. He is a CFA charterholder and is fluent in Spanish and English.
Fredrik Kumlin joined Meyer Bergman in 2009 and is a Vice President, focusing on acquisitions across Europe with a concentration on the Nordic markets, having executed transactions in excess of €2 billion in the United Kingdom, the Nordics, CEE, Western and Southern Europe. Until 2006, Fredrik worked at East Capital Asset Management as a Private Sales Representative, where he had responsibility for HNW individuals in Eastern Europe.
He also spent a year working as a Secretary-Archivist at the Swedish Embassy in Moscow, and prior to this he served as an Intelligence Company Leader for the Swedish Ministry of Defense.
Fredrik graduated from the London School of Economics with a B.Sc. in International Relations. He is fluent in five languages (Swedish, English, Greek, Portuguese and Russian).
Rob Tyson is a Principal and an Investment Committee member. Rob joined Meyer Bergman in 2009 and focuses on the financing, structuring and execution of new and existing investments, along with overseeing investor reporting and portfolio management. Prior to joining Meyer Bergman, Rob worked with JER Partners in London from 2002 to 2008 and previously, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte.
Rob graduated from the University of Warwick with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
